making everyday beautiful : sapphire

Good morning my blog buddies, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!? After charging about the lake district last weekend, this weekend was a much more lazy affair with lots of TV (did you watch the Eurovision Song Contest!?), films (got to watch The World's End for the first time... not my fave from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) and ate plenty of chocolate (of course!) while working on a couple of knit and crochet projects that I will tell you more about soon. But right now lets get onto today's making everyday beautiful picks...

In a bid to move away from the putty pink coloured florals of the last couple of weeks (here and here) I've gone with my other colour crush of the moment as inspiration for today's collection - gorgeous sapphire blues! I adore the intensity of this colour, it's so bold, strong and energetic. I don't mean energetic in a manic 'Let's get this shit done!' kind of way, I get more of a calm and determined vibe from it as in Alison's ocean image and Svenja's delicate tendril plant growing and reaching out. Very inspiring!

Emma, x
