Hello my lovelies! Yes indeed, I have some very exciting news for you today about a gorgeous new crochet design - my Spring Fling Flower Mandala! You can find it in the current issue of Crochet Gifts along with a wee interview from me too. Double yay!

Do you remember back in February when I was playing around with some lovely linen yarn from Yarn Stories but being super secretive about what I was working on!? Well this was that project. I was in utter mandala heaven making my own spring loveliness and now that the pattern is finally here you guys can have a go too. Triple yay!

Crochet Gifts is a relatively new quarterly bookazine from Practical Publishing, this is only the third issue. And as they are fairly new it may be a little tricky to track down a copy locally but if you hop on over to their online shop you can find a few copies here, they do ship internationally and at a very reasonable price too! Of course if you would like to chance your luck I do have a spare copy to giveaway ;)

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning a copy of Crochet Gifts is to share the image below then come back here and leave a wee note in the comments telling me about your favourite spring crochet projects and patterns or your favourite mandala projects and why you love crocheting them so much! This was my first foray into mandala crocheting and now I know why people love making them so much. So addictively therapeutic!

  6. must be so exciting to have a pattern featured in a magazine - and thanks for sharing about this new magazine, my favorite crochet magazines are all from the uk and i have high hopes that crochet gifts will be a new favorite. my favorite spring projects have been nesting bowls and baskets for getting things in order, and i hope to work in a few lovely kitchen goodies to gift my mom and mom in law.

  7. Think I'm going to have to get onto this Mandala thing! I'm seeing them everywhere but these are beautiful and have definitely inspired me to start! So many things on my imminent to-do list including finishing a colourful picnic rug and starting a stool cover in blues and creams for my bedroom. I've recently come back to crochet and already I start twitching if I don't fit in a daily dose! Great work Emma!
