making everyday beautiful : delft blue collection

Hello and happy Tuesday... !
How was your bank holiday weekend!? I do hope all my UK friends were able to enjoy themselves despite the rain? It wasn't so bad here in the end and while my Man was at work I spent a quiet day at home happily on my own. After fixing my printer, giving old Bertha a base coat of white paint (yep, finally succumb to the white!), doing a few chores here and there I had time left to crochet a bunch of garland flowers while watching WALL-E. Nothing exciting, just a day to myself and it felt good... :)

I do hope you love today's collection of lovelies from our fabulous Flickr group 'making everyday beautiful'? I have had some of these in my favourites for a wee while now and really wanted to put together delft blue inspired collection. Such a classic and I love the mix of traditional, salvaged and new here... even though they're not really true delftware!
Does anyone have any knowledge of delftware? I am always finding sea pottery such as this and am wondering how difficult it is to identify pieces and patterns? Probably incredibly difficult and probably a daft question really... !?

  2. Oh what a lovely little collection Emma. I find lots of pottery on the beach here but identifying it is virtually impossible! I think some of what I find used to be a tip many, many years ago. Lovely and highly addictive collecting it is, isn't it!
Hope you have a break from the deluge soon! ♥
