Yesterday I tidied my wee studio. I always let it get in such a mess as I am completely terrible at putting things away properly. Usually that results in organised chaos but if I don't keep an eye on things it turns into pure, unadulterated chaos and I can't find anything I'm looking for. The worst thing is when I lose my crochet hooks, sewing needles or embroidery scissors... I know they will be in one of the many boxes, baskets or tins that hold all my projects, but which one!?

Do not fret, I have found them all... :) My hooks are safely in a wee jar on my desk, all the pins are back in my fabby Japanese pincushion and I think the scissors are in the drawer... at least I hope so because if they're not I have no idea where they are and will have to go buy yet another pair!
So today I am ready to make a wee bit more chaos... :)
Btw, today is the last chance for you to enter my wee giveaway. I'll be closing the comments first thing tomorrow morning and will be choosing the winners soon after... :)
Until then have a fabulous day,
Emma, x
What a sweet space!
ReplyDeleteOh my, your studio is delightful - what eye candy. I can't imagine it being a mess for one minute!
ReplyDeleteIs Spanner allowed in? I'm afraid I've had to install a child's safety gate at my craft room doorway and Bertie, my shaggy chocolate cocker spaniel, lies pressed up against it looking like an advert for the RSPCA!

your studio is such a lovely place to work..
ReplyDeleteYour studio looks adorable, Emma--not a hint of chaos in the photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you my lovelies... order is prevailing at the moment, but i have a couple of big projects lined up so it certainly won't be long before chaos rules the roost once again... !
ReplyDeleteHeather! You tell Bertie he can come live with me and Spanner in my wee studio... Him and my wee man can sleep under my desk togehter... :)
Spanner is the most chilled out Cocker Spaniel I have ever known... he sleeps quietly under my desk all day every day and has done since the moment he arrived! He only wakes up to either go for a walk, a pee or when he's hungry... :)
Emma, x
Oh so inspiring! I need to organize my space again. But it always ends up in chaos not too long after, I guess that's the cycle of creativity!
ReplyDeleteI love your polka dot desk top! I think the whole room looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteYour studio is so fresh and bright and CLEAN! I literally cannot walk through mine right now lol. Wait that's not funny...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous studio you have Emma! At least you have photos of it looking neat and tidy now. So hard for us creative types to keep that way, I know. x
ReplyDeleteI love seeing other peoples' work rooms - if nothing else it inspires me to tidy mine! Yours is stunning - just like your crochet really then.

wow...what a wonderful inspirational room!
ReplyDeleteI love your space! I didn't realize that you collect Kokeshi dolls as well... actually I think I have one that would be sister to the one third in from the left. She has a different kimono but the same exact details... lovely! I have a whole Pinterest board devoted to them. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou have the most delightful studio! I wish I was able to stay organised!x
ReplyDeleteI Love this room!!! It's so fun and inspirational, mine is always a mess! I need to work on getting it organized :)
ReplyDeleteDear Emma,
ReplyDeleteHow utterly lovely is your studio, so pretty and inspirational. Thank you for sharing it.
Much love
Emma
your studio calls out inspiration and talent ... such a lovely "tour"
ReplyDeleteEmma, you've got a lovely workspace, and I really like the light there. Why would I be so surprised to see such a bright place in Edinburgh?
ReplyDeleteLike you, I do like to have a good idea about where to find my various artistic supplies and tools, and try to have some of them hidden/stored in plain sight. Others must be kept in various containers that I will always associate with those bits and pieces, like buttons, beads, old fabric remnants, knitting/crochet books, etc.
Only very rarely do I get puzzled about the whereabouts of something ... and then I just can't rest until I do find the buried treasure without a map.
Best wishes!
Your studio does not seem "wee" at all to me ... mine is much smaller! I love the simplicity and the gentle colors. Thanks for letting me peek.
ReplyDeleteMary
