vintage fabulous : colourful pyrex!

I would so love to start my own wee collection of these wonderful bowls and plates but will have to wait until I have a home with a much bigger kitchen in which to display it properly. For the time being I'm having to content myself with perusing the isles of Etsy and lusting over these gorgeous colours and patterns!

One day I shall have my own collection of colourful vintage pyrex, mark my words! | Emma Lamb

  1. Would you believe we got about 30 pyrex dishes of various sizes as wedding presents (very popular in the '80's)! I had a dinner set in the pattern in your last picture. Over the years since, as they became not so 'in', I have given them all away to anyone who would have them, friends, charity, etc.

  4. Vivienne!!! I can't believe you gave away all your lovely pyrex, especially a whole dinner set in that lovely floral pattern... can you sense my exasperation!?
I just wish I could find such loveliness in my local charity shops and flea markets... maybe one day I'll get lucky... :)

  7. I still can't believe all this "falling back in love" with the Pyrex that I had when my boys were little.... 30 yrs ago!!! I couldn't wait to get rid of it all and graduate to REAL CHINA....once they were past the "dropsy" stage.!!!! I had several sets and have no idea where they went...probably to a yard sale or the charity shop...as they say.... what's old is new again!!!

  16. Aren't those vintage pyrex dishes just fantastic?! I love the teal coloured one with the folk patterns!

Maybe we should ask Pyrex to do a little re-make of some of those old patterns... I would buy them! :o)
